Can you try disconnecting your console from the internet and see if the disc will install that way?

Yes I tried that and it still stalled at 49 percent and said it was a disc issue. On my second disc now still same problem.

i have tried all the steps...my issue is a little different. nothing happens when I insert disc 1. disc 2 gives me the option to install. but then it says I don't have the data or its corrupt.

I'm having the same problem game not installing and my pre order codes i gotten not working i mean the ones gamestop gaved me for the hidden blade and captain of the guard code works but the other for trial of war and dark ranger not working saying its invalid and such?

Lucian, log off of live and put disc one in. You should be able to load. Or at least mine is now loading. Hope that helps. Disc one is only for loading.
